From the series `` Japanese Rock Musicians - Interviews `` here is the first interview. I was granted an interview with the j-rock artist Mr Tezya.
Tezya (テツヤ) – It is a Japanese musician, singer, composer , model and designer.The FUTURE GLAMOUR ROCK’N’ROLL would be the best characterization for him as an artist. His music career started from bands Grace ModE, FiX, MeGAROPA and ATOMIC ZaZa. Two of this projects was founded by bass guitarist SEELA from popular japanese band D’ERLANGER. As well Tezya collaborated with ASAKI from AGE of PUNK, BUG and even with keyboard player of GUNS’N’ROSES during his trip to Los Angeles. One of his close friends is SUGIZO from X JAPAN, LUNA SEA, JUNO REACTOR) took part in recording Cosmo Of Love , being a song from Tezya’s solo album LIFE MY BABYLON resealed in 2010 . Hello Mr Tezya.Thank you for taking your time and answering to all the questions for my interview . 1. Please introduce yourself to the japanese rock fans from Romania, who still do not know you yet ! 1.Va rog sa va prezentati fanilor rock-ului japonez din Romania care inca nu va cunosc ? こんにちは、Tezyaさん！
Tezya : Hello everyone from Romania . My name is Tezya , nice to meet you .I am a rock singer who have quite a lot of experience previously with different music bands in Japan and overseas . Salutare tuturor din Romania .Numele meu este Tezya, imi pare bine de cunostinta.Sunt cantaret de rock cu o experienta vasta alaturi de diferite trupe de muzica din Japonia si strainatate. まだtezyaのこと知らないルーマニアからの日本のロックファンの皆さんへ自己紹介お願いします。
2. Tell me about your musical inspiration and describe your fashion style ? Povestiti despre inspiratia muzicala si descrieti stilul dumneavoastra de moda ? tezyaさんの音楽のインスピレーション教えてください。そしてファッションスタイルのこともっと教えて下さい。 Tezya : I compose all the songs but i feel that I am not the only one who creates them and it was given by God and universe .I don`t chase trends regarding to fashion .When i am off stage i like to wear simple & quality clothes . Eu compun toate melodiile dar consider ca nu sunt singurul in procesul de creatie ci au fost daruite de la Dumnezeu si univers .Nu tin pasul cu moda . Cand sunt in afara scenei imi place sa port haine simple si de calitate. 私の歌っている曲は全て自分で作っていますが、考えて作っているという気がしないので神様や宇宙から与えられたものを形にしている感覚です。ファッションに関しては流行は追いかけない。オフステージではシンプルで素材の良い服が好きです。
3. When you felt that music is all you want to do for the rest of your life ? Do you have other passions beside music ? Are you still modelling ? Cand v-ati dat seama ca muzica este tot ceea ce doriti sa faceti pentru tot restul vietii ? Aveti si alte pasiuni in afara de muzica? Mai sunteti activ in lumea modelling-ului ? 音楽が今からの人生の残りまでにすべてのしたいことって、いつに感じましたか？音楽以外に、他の情熱がありますか？まだモデル化していますか？
Tezya : I have decided to become a professional musician at the age of 17-year-old. However, this was not because i loved music was just a simply aim to become famous. For modelling i will accept if I get an offer, but there is not so much interest on this area. Other than music now i want to design my own clothes and create a personal brand. Am decis sa devin muzician profesionist la varsta de 17 ani . Cu toate acestea , atunci nu era datorita faptului ca iubeam muzica, era doar un obiectiv pentru a deveni celebru . In ceea ce priveste modelling-ul daca voi primi o propunere , o s-o accept desi nu am un interes major. Altele decat muzica vreau sa-mi creez propria colectie de imbracaminte . 私は１７歳の時にプロフェッショナルなミュージシャンになると決意しました。しかし、その時は音楽が好きだったわけではなく、ただ単に有名になるための目的でした。 モデルに関してはオファーを貰えば受けますが、あまり興味はありません。今は音楽以外では服のプロデュースやデザインを自分自身で行うブランドを作れたら良いと思っています。
4. How did you felt after your first solo album LIFE MY BABYLON released in September 2010 in collaboration with Sugizo from X JAPAN ? Tell me more about that project ? Cum v-ati simtit dupa primul album solo LIFE MY BABYLON lansat in septembrie 2010 in colaborare cu Sugizo de la X JAPAN ? Povestiti va rog mai multe despre acest proiect ? 2010年9月にX JAPANのSUGIZOさんとコラボレーションのリリースされた最初のソロアルバム「 LIFE MY BABYLON 」のことどう感じましたか？そのプロジェクトについてもっと伝えて下さい。
Tezya : Because "LIFE MY BABYLON" was the first solo album, i wanted to make a debut album that i could say is the best one of my music career so far. I'm confident that is an album where the abilities learned from a lot of experience and the urge of my first experience as a solo artist mingle skillfully. And because the album appeared in a turning point of in my life, to be more specific, when I became a solo musician from a band musician , I absolutely wanted to collaborate with SUGIZO, who is an old close friend of mine. Deoarece "LIFE MY BABYLON" a fost primul album solo ca si cantaret , mi-am dorit sa realizez o lansare unde pot spune ca este cea mai buna din cariera mea muzicala de pana acum. Sunt increzator ca abilitatile acumulate in urma experientei vaste si nevoia experientei ca si cantaret solo se muleaza ingenios. Asa ca , mi-am dorit enorm sa colaborez cu Sugizo intr-un moment de cotitura in cariera mea , tranzitia de la membru de trupa la artist solo pentru prima data , mai ales ca este el este unul dintre prietenii mei de-o viata . 「 LIFE MY BABYLON 」は私の長い音楽キャリアの中で初めてのソロアルバムだったので、これまでの私の音楽キャリアの中でのベストアルバムと言えるデヴューアルバムを作りたいと思っていました。多くの経験から学んだスキルと初めてソロアーティストとして活動する衝動が上手に合わさったアルバムだという自信作です。そして、私がバンドミュージシャンからソロミュージシャンになる私の人生のターニングポイントでのアルバムには古くからの親友であるSUGIZOに絶対に協力して欲しかった。 5. What is the best part and the worst of being a musician ? Care este cea mai frumoasa si cea mai rea parte ca si artist ? ミュージシャンであることの一番最高の部分そして、一番悪い部分は何ですか？
Tezya : For me the best part is that I am able to go to a lot of foreign countries and people that i have never met before are interested in me and requesting my music. The bad part of being a musician is that my top hobby has become a job. Pentru mine cea mai frumoasa parte este ca am posibilitatea sa vizitez multe tari din strainatate si oameni pe care nu ii intalnisem niciodata sunt interesati de mine si imi solicita muzica. Partea proasta este ca hobby-ul meu cel mai mare a devenit o munca. 私がミュージシャンとして嬉しい部分は、こうして私が会った事もない人にも私に興味を持って貰えて沢山の外国に行ける事。そして私の音楽を皆が求め楽しんでくれる事。悪い部分は私にとって音楽は一番の趣味だったのが仕事になってしまった事。
6. Among all your songs which one is your favorite ? Why ? Dintre toate melodiile dumneavoastra ,care este favorita de pana acum ? Explicati motivul. 今までの一番大好きな自分のリリースされた曲は何ですか？なぜですか？
Tezya : Among the songs from my solo career is COSMO OF LOVE .It was the first song that i composed to my mother. That's why I really wanted that my best friend Sugizo to play the guitar solo of this song. Dintre toate melodiile apartinand carierei solo este COSMO OF LOVE .Aceasta a fost prima piesa compusa mamei mele. Deasemenea, chiar mi-am dorit ca prietenul meu cel mai bun Sugizo sa cante chitara solo in aceasta melodie. ソロキャリアの中ではCOSMO OF LOVE。この曲は初めて私の母に贈った曲。だからこそ、この曲のギターソロを親友のSUGIZOに演奏して欲しかった。 7. Will you ever change your music style or fashion ? You want to stick with the same image and sound always ? O sa va schimbati stilul muzical sau vestimentar vreodata ? Doriti sa ramaneti la aceeasi imagine si sunet mereu ? 自分の音楽とファッションスタイルいつか変わると思いますか？それとも同じイメージと音と維持したいですか?
Tezya : Actually, regarding my music until now,I tried quite a large variety of styles. Now, because I've followed the music that was based on my roots, perhaps. I don`t think i will change much. But I want to evolve more and more from now . Cu tot respectul pentru muzica pana acum , am incercat foarte multe stiluri .Probabil ca am urmat traiectoria muzicii pe care s-au fondat originile mele. Imi doresc sa evoluez din ce in ce mai mult .実は今まで音楽に関しては、かなり色々なスタイルを試して来て、今の自分のルーツを元にした音楽に辿り着いたので、たぶん。それほど変わらないと思います。だけど、もっともっと進化はして行きますよ！
8. Do you have a favourite glam rock band that you look up to ? How do you see the future of glam rock music ? As well the future of visual kei music scene in this world ? Aveti vreo formatie de glam rock preferata ? Cum vedeti viitorul glam rock-ului ? Deasemenea viitorul muzicii visual kei in lume ? 憧れるグラムロックバンドがありますか？グラムロックの音楽の未来をどのように見ていますか？そしてこの世界でビジュアル系の音楽シーンの未来は？ Tezya : I think that is difficult to find similarities between the definition of glam rock and visual kei, since I'm not a musicianship. I was inspired by many famous glam rock artists. For example David Bowie ,T. Rex ,Roxy Music ,New York Dolls and many others. Because in there i can find less music commonness, I think I was attracted by the image of fashion, sexuality and somewhat of violence . Personally ,because I don't define my style as visual kei, I don't know much about the scene,but regarding the visual kei music scene born in Japan, I think that will continue from now on its unique evolution . Sunt de parere ca este dificil sa gasesti similaritati intre definitia glam rock-ului si visual kei ,avand in vedere ca eu nu sunt instrumentist. M-am inspirat de la multi artisti de glam rock .De exemplu David Bowie ,T. Rex ,Roxy Music ,New York Dolls si multi altii .Datorita faptului ca acolo intalnesc mai putin interese de natura muzicala , tind sa cred ca am fost atras de imaginea de moda, sexualitate si oarecum de violenta. Nu cataloghez stilul meu ca si visual kei , nu stiu prea multe despre scena asta dar in ceea ce priveste muzica visual kei fondata in Japonia , consider ca va avea continuitate in acelasi ritm evolutiv autentic .
9. Do you know Count Dracula Castle called `` Bran`` from our country Romania? Would you like to visit Romania in the future or sing here at some event ? Ati auzit de castelul Contelui Dracula intitulat `` Bran `` din tara noastra Romania ? V-ar placea sa vizitati Romania in viitor sau sa cantati aici la vreun eveniment ? ルーマニアからのドラキュラ城、「Bran」のことご存知ですか? 将来にルーマニアを訪ねることがほしいですか？そして, ルーマニアのイベントで歌いたいですか？
Tezya : It’s the first time I hear about Bran. However, because from an early age I've loved Dracula and other evil characters, I'm really interested to find more about it. Of course, I want to come and have a concert in Romania! I also think that would be great if I could shoot a music video with the scenery of Dracula's castle. Este prima data cand aud despre Bran.Totusi , deoarece inca de la o varsta frageda mi-a placut Dracula si alte personaje malefice, eu sunt foarte interesat sa aflu mai multe despre asta. Desigur, vreau sa vin si sa concertez in Romania! De asemenea, cred ca ar fi grozav daca am putea filma un videoclip cu peisajul castelului lui Dracula. Bran」の事は初めて知りました。ただ幼い頃からドラキュラや悪魔などのキャラクターが好きなので、とても興味があります。もちろん是非ルーマニアに行きコンサートをしたいです！ドラキュラ城を背景にミュージックビデオを撮影するのも良いですね。 10. What are your current projects ? Other concerts outside of Japan this year ? Care sunt proiectele dumneavoastra actuale ? Alte concerte in afara Japoniei acest an ? tezyaさんの現在のプロジェクトは何ですか？今年日本以外の他のコンサートの予定はありますか？ Tezya : From now on, I'm thinking about starting the recording for my second album .I don't have concerts planned overseas this year yet, but when the album will be completed , I want to perform in as many countries as possible . De acum inainte , ma gandesc sa incep inregistrarile pentru al doilea album .Inca nu sunt planificate concerte in strainatate in acest an inca dar cand albumul va fi finalizat,vreau sa concertez in cat mai multe tari posibil. まだ今年は海外でのコンサートの予定はありませんが、アルバムが完成した時には出来るだけ多くの国へコンサートをしに行きたいです。
